A popular highlight added to the Terry Yippee celebration was the freewill barbecue meal served at Murn Park by members of the Prairie County Chamber of Commerce. The Saturday noon time meal was met with a line of Yippee goers who took in the day’s events which included the morning Yippee runs, corn hole contest, children’s park and pool activities and concluded with an evening street dance. The July 26th Yippee event was preceded by Friday night’s Match Bronc Riding. Brought to town by the Terry Roping Club, the Match Bronc Riding was met with good attendance numbers. Club members hope to bring the event to Terry again. The Prairie County Museum and Cameron Gallery also reported strong numbers for Yippee and the days prior to the weekend, totaling to 56 visitors.
