Local business owners welcome holiday shoppers

  Local businesses greeted the upcoming holiday season with open houses on Saturday, Nov. 5, offering refreshments and special discounts to shoppers. 

Netzer Hardware presented their annual 30-by-30-foot Christmas room, featuring indoor and outdoor Christmas decor, during their all-day open house, along with serving refreshments. Badlands Cafe’ offered half price lattes and pancake specials, while Sassy One Clothing welcomed customers to an early morning Pajama Party. Other participating businesses included Prairie Unique and Prairie Green.
The holiday shopping season will kick into high gear locally the Friday after Thanksgiving with many Prairie County Chamber businesses participating in a ‘We Are Thankful’ event, offering special in-store discounts. Plans for Terry’s Terrific Tuesday events are also underway and set to begin Dec 6 with the popular light parade.
