Terry’s Terrific Tuesday holiday events are right around the corner

With the town’s Christmas lighting already hung and some storefronts displaying their Christmas Wonderland Theme, it’s clear Terry is ready to welcome the holiday season. Chief among those are members of the Prairie County Chamber of Commerce who finalized their holiday promotional schedule during last week’s monthly meeting.

This year’s Terrific Tuesdays will offer popular favored events, with businesses taking part in a “Winter Wonderland” decorating theme.  Customers attending the Terrific Tuesday events will have a chance to vote on the best storefront decoration.
The Tuesday events kick off Nov. 29, where children, ages 2 to fifth grade are invited to attend a  Christmas craft program from 5 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall.
The Festival of Lights Parade will be held Dec. 6, beginning at 6 p.m. Children can stop by for a photo and visit with Santa from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stockman Bank. Hot dogs and cocoa will also be served.
Participating businesses will offer samplings of tasty Christmas treats on Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. during the progressive meal.
The final Terrific Tuesday event on Dec. 20, will offer in-store specials at participating businesses. Winners of the two $100 chamber buck drawings will be announced and the winner of the Prairie County Motorcycle Association’s dirt bike raffle will also be announced. The business winner with the best “Winter Wonderland” storefront decoration will also be determined.
