The Terry High School boys basketball season opener started December 9 with the Terriers traveling to Poplar. Terry won 66-54.
Sergey Fredrickson led the scoring with 19 points. Scoring also was Weston Luedtke 9, Talon Mack 11, Trevor Pisk 11, DJ Hubbert 13 and Tyler Sackman with 3 points.
Terry traveled the to Savage the following day, falling to the Warriors 30-40.
High scorer was Talon Mack with 15. Others adding points to the scoreboard were: Sergey Fredrickson 2, Trevor Pisk 8, Weston Luedtke 2, and DJ Hubbert 3.
Terry then traveled to Plevna to take on the Cougars. It was a runaway for the Terriers as they won 55-16.
"The boys have been playing great basketball and they work hard no matter what opponent they are playing,” said head coach Nathan Christofferson in an email. “We utilized our whole bench which was nice since there was no JV game." High scorer was Trevor Pisk with 18, followed by DJ Hubbert 12, Tyler Sackman 12, Talon Mack 4, Weston Luedtke 3, Kyle Lassle 4, Jordan Lassle 2.
Northern Cheyenne traveled to Terry for the Terriers first home game of the season. "Going into this game we knew this was a high caliber team we had to play so we knew that we would have to out-hustle them and beat them at their own game,” Christofferson said.
The Terriers did just that as they pressured the Eagles throughout the game and creating turnovers that turned into points for the Terry team. Terry won 63-43.
Trevor Pisk led scorers with 21, Sergey Fredrickson 5, Talon Mack 11, Weston Luedtke 10, DJ Hubbert 9, Kyle Lassle 1, Tyler Sackman 2.
Wibaux traveled to Terry which was a rival match up for the Terriers.
Terriers started the game strong, creating turnovers and taking the lead at halftime 31-20.
Starting of the half Wibaux came out and scored 8 unanswered points. Terriers couldn't find their rhythm right away, but after a couple big steals the Terriers turned it around and never looked back.
Terry won the game 60-41. Trevor Pisk led the team with 27, Sergey Fredrickson 12, Talon Mack 5, Weston Luedtke 2, DJ Hubbert 11, Tyler Sackman 3.
