Olson serves area as new Veterans Affairs Officer

Serving an 11 county region, along the eastern edge of the state, Keith Olson is helping veterans and eligible family members make sense of the Veterans Affairs benefits and healthcare system. Based in Miles City, Olson began his work as the Veterans Service Officer II, Nov. 10 of last year.

Olson, a Minn., native who retired from a 20-year career with the Air Force in August, 2011, said he finds the work gratifying.
“It’s rewarding to help,” Olson said of working with veterans and their families. “At least at that point they’re recognized  for their service.”
Olson has traveled throughout the region meeting with veterans in Sidney, Glendive, Baker, Broadus and Wibaux, to help vets work through the claims process for pensions, and healthcare services, among other programs.
Olson can be reached at his office at (406) 232-1203, cell (406) 431-3684 or by email at mcmvad@qwestoffice.net.
