Man’s quest for details on Cameron described in Country magazine

A three-page description of a man’s quest to discover more information about Evelyn Cameron photographs is detailed in the January issue of Country magazine.

Author Sue Hansen, explains how her friend Tom Roose purchased a box of 19th century black and white photographs in Corvallis, Ore., depicting cowboys and cowgirls in Eastern Montana. His newly found treasure led Tom to Terry to find out more about the people and surroundings shown in the photographs as well as  attaining more information about the woman who took the images.
Hansen and her husband accompanied Tom on his venture, which included a tour of the Prairie County Museum and Gallery, a visit to Evelyn Cameron’s former land with local historian and guide Eddie Gaub and a brief stop to Cameron’s grave. The three also had the opportunity to visit with local Cameron enthusiasts who were able to provide more information about Cameron’s photos.
The article indicated that Tom intends to donate his Cameron photographs to the town of Terry.
