Recent donations to museum include large Cameron photo and Roy Rogers sign

  The Prairie County Museum board met for it’s regular meeting on January 26, 2012. New officers were elected with Vadnae Greenfield as president, Ruth Franks as vice president and Carol Larsen as treasurer.

Wynona Breen has received an award from the governor’s office “Serve Montana Program”. She is one of eight winners in the state for outstanding volunteer service. Her project was the transcribing of the Cameron Diaries which are now available to the public in three- ring binders at the Prairie County Museum. The diaries are also stored on CDs at the Montana Historical Society. She has been invited to the presentation ceremony in Helena on February 23, 2012.
Les Thomason presented the museum board with a large framed copy of a Cameron photo donated by the Thomason family in memory of Russel Bice. It is on display at the Cameron Gallery. 
Clinton and Phyllis Mittlieder donated the historic Roy Rogers sign to the Prairie County Museum. Clinton Mittlieder, Bob and Marge Brubaker hung the sign in the Larsen Building Thursday afternoon for display.
Prairie County Museum Board meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month - January through October at 1 p.m., except May through August when the time is changed to 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
