Write-in candidate and technology levy added to school’s May 8 election

Kelly Hubbert has declared his intent to run as a write-in candidate for the trustee position at Terry Schools District #5.

The deadline to file as a write-in candidate was Thursday, April 12.
In order to vote for a write-in candidate voters must write in the candidate’s name or affix a label on the ballot and mark the box by the name. If the box is not marked, the vote will not count.
Two other candidates have also filed for the open trustee seat. They are Allyson Capps and Michael Sterchi.
Incumbent Sherry Strasheim, who has held the seat for four 3-year terms, did not re-file.
The May 8 school trustee election will be held in conjunction with the hospital trustee election, where voters will choose between incumbent Charles Deisher and Michael Sterchi.
A $20,000 Technology Acquisition and Depreciation Fund Levy for Terry Schools will also be voted on during the May 8 election.
The May 8 election will take place at the high school lobby from noon to 8 p.m.
