July 4th Rodeo on tap

       The Terry Roping Club is gearing up for another full day of rodeo action for its 64th annual July 4th Rodeo at the Prairie County Fairgrounds. Kids Rodeo is set to begin at 9 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Calcutta will follow at 12:15 p.m. with rodeo attendees having the opportunity to bid on contestants competing in the saddle bronc, barrel racing and old timers ribbon roping events. Grand Entry starts at 1 p.m.

This year’s rodeo will see the return of three popular events that were removed from last year’s rodeo. Youth breakaway for those 14 years and younger and children’s sheep milking and sheep teepeeing were added to the list of events.
Terry High School Close-up group will be serving lunch at the fairground’s concession stand.
