Cameron relative will attend this year’s Gala

From Evelyn Cameron Heritage Inc.

In attendance at this year’s Evelyn Cameron Heritage Inc. Gala will be Paul and Christine Wordsworth of Oxfordshire, England. Christine is the great, great niece of Evelyn Cameron. Accompanying the Wordsworths will be Ann and John Roberts.

Ann Roberts is an art historian. It is through she and her husband’s sleuthing that the relationship to Evelyn was discovered.
Christine explained that her mother, Irene Lena Edwards Brow is the daughter of Evelyn’s niece, Betty Evelyn Edwards.
“We are so excited to have such special visitors in attendance at this year’s gala,” said Glenda Ueland, a board member of the Heritage group. “It is a wonderful opportunity to share what we know and love about Evelyn Cameron and her life in America and to learn about the life she left behind.”
The Gala which will be held at the Evelyn Cameron Heritage Center on September 15 is the organization’s annual fundraising event. Tickets are $65 per person or $120 per couple. The evening will include an all you can eat three-meat pitch fork fondue, a live auction featuring works of local artists and two vintage Cameron photos. David Graham, Elizabeth Smith and Tylene Eaton will be among those local artists whose works will be auctioned.
Proceeds of this year’s event will be used to continue the renovation of the building which was formerly  known as the Rialto Theater.  Once renovation is completed a display of the collection of Evelyn’s works will be available. The building will also provide a venue for displaying works of other artists and hosting cultural events.
