Rollover south of Terry kills South Carolina man

A 40-year-old South Carolina man died and two other men were injured in a rollover crash that occurred on a gravel road about a mile south of Terry.

The Prairie County Sherriff’s office received a 911 call about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a pickup, heading southbound on 10-mile Road, attempted to pass another vehicle. The pickup hit a rough patch in the road and began to fishtail. The driver overcorrected and the pickup skidded, rolling one-and-a-half times. Two other men, ages 21 and 23, were in the pickup.
The driver, who died at the scene, and one of the passengers were thrown from the pickup. One of the passengers was airlifted to a Billings hospital while the other was treated at the Prairie Community Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
The three men had been staying at the Kempton Hotel and were commuting to work between here and N.D.
