At least 13 vehicles have been stolen recently from the Glendive, Miles City, Baker, Forsyth, Terry and Billings areas.

All of the vehicles were unlocked and had the keys in them, according to Miles City Police Chief Doug Colombik.
Some of the vehicles were new pickups.
Colombik urges people to keep their vehicles locked, and not to keep their keys inside.
He said this is an active investigation, and many law enforcement agencies are involved.
Last week it was reported that one 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was found in Rosebud County in the Yellowstone River. The pickup had been stolen from Glendive.
Also, a vehicle was stolen from Terry and found east of Miles City on Highway 12. Another was taken from Miles City and found at the Miles City Livestock Commission.
Anyone with information about these or similar incidents is encouraged to call the the Prairie County Sheriff’s office at 635-5738.
