An 18-year-old Terry man died after he was possibly hit or driven over by a vehicle late Saturday night on Deadman's Road, according to Custer County Undersheriff Pat Roos.
Harold Meidinger was taken to Holy Rosary Healthcare by friends who were at the scene. He was pronounced dead at Holy Rosary.
Roos said there was a large gathering of people a few miles off Highway 59, north of Miles City, when the incident occurred. The call about the injured man came in at 11:37 p.m. Saturday.
The sheriff's office and the Montana Highway Patrol are looking into the incident.
Roos said they are trying to determine whether the injuries were accidental or otherwise. Authorities are waiting to hear from the medical examiner in Billings for a confirmation as to the cause of death.
