Town attorney resigns

After receiving a resignation letter from Town of Terry Attorney Rebecca Convery during last week’s regular Town Council meeting, the council will be meeting this week to discuss hiring a replacement. A special meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m.

In Convery’s resignation letter to the council, she offered to continue her work through August, but gave her notice effective the end of June.
Other items included on the agenda for the special meeting are: Reviewing an audit received for the town’s fiscal year of 2012, and a preliminary budget for the 2013-14 year,  discussing plans for the swimming pool, reviewing planning grants for the lagoon and drafting a letter from the council to an individual who is believed to be moving in with a rabbit farm.
