Work on pool continues as opening date not yet set

As summer temperatures continue to rise, questions about when Terry’s popular hottest spot in town to cool off increases.

Town officials had hoped to open the Terry Swimming Pool by the end of June, according to Town Clerk Lynn Strasheim. Noting the pool had been set to be filled with water this week, Strasheim said unforeseen pump/electrical issues kept that from occurring.
Other pool preparations are underway though including hiring of lifeguards. This season’s lifeguards will be:  Caty Morrison, Deanna Loomis, Lexie Schlosser, Zak Gierke, Katrina Shumway, Caitlin Lantis, and Jason Loomis.
Prices have also been set for the season and include: Family Season Pass — $75, Family Monthly Pass — $40, Individual Season Pass — $55, Individual Monthly Pass — $30, Daily Pass — $3
It is unclear whether swimming lessons will be offered this season as currently no one on staff has a lifeguard certified to instruct swimming lessons.
The Terry Swimming Pool will be discussed at a special June 27 session of the Terry Town Council.
