Leo W. Gaub, age 82 of Missoula, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013. Leo was born in Marsh Montana July 21, 1931 and graduated from Terry High School.
When Leo started first grade at the Bossart School he could not speak English, only German. After high school, he was a member of the Montana National Guard, and worked as a Singer Sewing Machine Repairman until retirement. Leo was an avid fisherman, and a very active member of the First Lutheran Church of Missoula.
His grandchildren were a very important part of his life and he enjoyed following their sports activities.
Leo was preceded in death by sister, Eleanor Klapmeier, brothers Alvin Gaub, and Arnold Gaub, and parents Lydia (Gaub) Meidinger and Christian Gaub. He is survived by one brother, Harold Gaub Fallon, Mont., and one sister Lorraine Minow Spearfish, S.D., and his sons Steve (Mary Beth) Gaub Wilbur, Wash.; Russell (Susie) Gaub Missoula, Mont.; Mike Gaub Missoula, Mont., and Cory (Cindy) Gaub Sherwood, Oregon; and five grandchildren.
