The Terrier volleyball team headed to Rosebud on Saturday for an Invitational Tournament that included most of the teams in the 2C conference.

The teams attending were Broadus, Broadus Junior Varsity, Circle, Ekalaka, Jordan, Rosebud and Terry.
The tournament format was double elimination and the matches were best two out of three games.
The Terriers opened the Tournament against the Broadus Hawks. The Terriers were able to win this match in two games. The next match for the Terriers was against the Ekalaka Bulldogs.
Ekalaka is becoming a very strong team in the conference.  At one point in the first game with the Terriers, Ekalaka was ahead by a score of 24 to 18. The Terriers showed an awesome “never give up” attitude as they were able to come back from behind to win the game by a score of 26 to 24.
The Terriers ended up winning the next game and this put them in a semi-final match of the tournament against the Jordan Mustangs.
The Mustangs and the Terriers are very evenly matched teams, but the Terriers were able to pull out the win by a 2 to 1 score.
The Terriers then faced the Circle Wildcats in the championship match. This match was a best 3 out of 5 format. The Terriers were able to win the first game, but couldn’t pull out the next 3 and Circle got the win.
The 2C Conference is very evenly matched and the tournament in Rosebud was proof of that. There were a lot of very close games throughout the day.
It will be critical for the Terriers to play well the last three weeks of the season.
