In fall some of us get back into routines abandoned during the summer. The American Red Cross would like to suggest you make donating blood part of that renewed routine.
The American Red Cross will hold the Prairie Community blood drive at the American Legion Hall, 112 Logan Avenue, Terry, Mont., on October 30th from 1 – 6 p.m. Prospective donors are asked to schedule an appointment to donate blood by calling 1-800-Red-Cross (733-2767) or go online at www.redcrossblood.org.
Blood has a limited shelf-life. Red blood cells, the portion of blood most commonly used for trauma patients, are only good for 42 days, and platelets, commonly used for cancer patients, are only good for five days. The Red Cross says that increased blood donations during October are needed to ensure an adequate and continuous supply of blood and blood products for local hospitals
Please give the gift of life; make your appointment today.
