The Terriers headed to Rosebud on Tuesday, October 15 for a varsity match with the Wranglers. This was a great opportunity for the Terrier bench to get some playing time. All of the varsity members were able to get into the match at some point. The Terriers won the match in 3 games.
Kylie Helmuth did a nice job of coming off the bench as our setter and she also added a couple of aces to the stats. Dakotah Luedtke also did a great job for the Terriers playing both front row and back row. She had 4 kills. The Terriers will play Rosebud again this weekend on Saturday.
Terry v. Rosebud - 25-17; 25-12; 25-18
Aces 19 (Caty Morrison 6); Kills 31 (Lexie Schlosser 11); Digs 13 (Exelee Church 5); Assists 31 (Lexie Schlosser 20); Blocks 2 (Morrison 2)
On Saturday, October 19 the Terriers hosted the Broadus Hawks. This was also senior parent recognition night. Our seniors are Exelee Church, Alyssa Morast, Caty Morrison, Mikayla Ridenhower, Lexie Schlosser, Ashley Wells, J’Nai Lobdell (manager) and Josh Stickel (manager.)
The Terriers have really been concentrating on digging and covering tips. They did a very nice job of getting the ball up and playable against the Hawks.
Halle Keltner and Exelee Church did an awesome job of digging the Hawk hitters.
Halle had a really good all-around game as she also contributed 10 kills and didn’t miss a single serve on 15 attempts.
This is the last week of the regular season and the Terriers will need to work on being more aggressive on the net and eliminating some of their hitting and serving errors as they head into tournaments.
The Terriers will have a good test on Friday, when the undefeated Wibaux Longhorns come to town.
