Poster winners promote tobacco-free lifestyle

  Freshmen Kaitlynn Wells and Valerie Greenfield were each recently awarded a $50 gift card for their poster reminding students, “Don’t Follow the Pack” in a poster contest sponsored by the Dawson County Tobacco Prevention group, 

Terry High School students voted among eight posters displayed in the high school lobby during Red Ribbon Week, the end of October. Posters were created by Freshmen and Sophomore students attending the health class taught by instructor Jessica Spaulding.
Tobacco Prevention coordinators Laureen Murphree and Jeanette Griffin said they were pleased with the participation of the students and the overall outcome, noting the creative theme and detailed drawings of the winning poster.
