Prairie Community Hospital welcomes new administrator

New PCH Administrator Candyce Payne, at left, stands with some of her
staff Tuesday morning. They are from left to right: Ruby Bearley, dietary
manager, Johnna Deloach, clinic receptionist and Jessica Schott, clinic
manager and PCH foundation director.

With two weeks under her belt, Prairie Community Hospital’s new administrator Candyce Payne is familiarizing herself with the hospital’s staff and surroundings. She said she’s enjoying the new environment and with her fairly extensive background in management of elderly care facilities feels the new role will be a good fit.

“I’m here basically all of the time,” Payne said, pointing out she’ll be required to travel to Glendive for training only once a month.
Payne, who has been employed with Glendive Medical Center since May of last year, which is affiliated with PCH, moved to Terry in August, 2013. Payne served as the Aging Services Administrator for GMC, overseeing the Heritage, home health hospice, Eastern Montana Veterans Home, and the GMC extended care.
Payne received her Bachelor  degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Administration from the University of South Dakota, where she also attained a Masters degree In Health Administration.
Her previous employment includes working as Executive Director of Tiger Place in Columbia, Missouri and at Golden Living in Rapid City, S.D.
Her family includes husband Matt, who is employed with IBM as a technical subject matter expert, and 8-year-old step-daughter Laila, who lives in Columbia Missouri.
