Museum/Gallery’s Afternoon Tea to honor volunteers

The Prairie County Museum and Evelyn Cameron Gallery will be hosting an Afternoon Tea this Sunday at the Evelyn Cameron Gallery. This year the tea will honor all of the volunteers who help staff the facility throughout the summer season.

Several state tourism experts visited the museum and gallery over the past year and all were very impressed with the fact that the complex operates with only a volunteer staff. Volunteers act as tour guides and represent our community to the hundreds of visitors to the museum and gallery each year.
Countless volunteer hours are also spent assisting in the cleaning tasks needed to ready the buildings for visitors each spring.
The gathering will be held Sunday, May 4 from 2-5 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this free event. Refreshments will be served.
Other upcoming events taking place
