Outpouring of support seen in Save Our Pool efforts

For the Tribune

To date, through raffle proceeds and donations, Save Our Pool has raised $7,038.47. An outpouring of support, not from just within our community and neighboring communities, but from individuals who remember summers spent at the Terry Swimming Pool, has been received. The Save Our Pool committee thanks all who have donated to the cause of keeping the Terry Swimming Pool open.

As a committee, we have set a fundraising goal of $48,000.
The minimum amount needed for repairs we were told was $47,000, with a possibility of the cost being closer to $60,000. We felt comfortable setting our initial goal at $48,000 due to a remaining amount of $18,000 from previous fundraising efforts that the town has set aside in a fund specific for the pool.
Netzer Hardware has donated the raffle prize of the barbecue grill. Powder River Meat Company will be donating their services in the processing of the beef. The generous contributions of these businesses is greatly appreciated.
Posters in each of the above listed businesses can be found  in their front window that show our target amount of $48,000 and how much money has been raised towards this goal.  Updates will also be provided through the committee’s Facebook account.
We also received our first check from Eastern Montana Industries for those of you that marked your aluminum cans to go towards “Save Our Pool”— keep them coming!
Raffle sales continue and plans for our next exciting fundraising event are underway.
Meanwhile, within the next couple of weeks, should the weather be so kind as to cooperate, work will begin at the Terry Swimming Pool with all hopes of having the necessary repairs completed in time to open this summer.
