Glendive American Legion baseball alumni planning reunion

Local alumni from the American Legion baseball program in Glendive have organized an all-year reunion for players and coaches. The reunion will coincide with the annual “Culli” tournament that is scheduled for July 10-13.  All former players and coaches are invited to attend.

There will be a social on Friday evening, July 11th.  On Saturday afternoon there will be a special presentation prior to the Blue Devils’ game that is scheduled for 5:30.  Following the Glendive game there is an alumni game set to be played at approximately 8:00.

The four state championship teams Glendive has had in the history of its American Legion baseball program will be specially honored.  These championship teams were in 1964, 1985, 2002 and 2004.  This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first championship and the 10th anniversary of the most current championship.

The names of the players and coaches from these four teams will be announced at the ceremony on Saturday.  All other alumni, players and coaches, in attendance at the tournament will be introduced.  Organizers are asking for help in spreading the word.  They are also encouraging those who plan on attending the event to bring along any memorabilia (pictures, programs, articles, uniforms, etc.) to the event.
