The Prairie County Sheriff’s Office personnel and members of the Prairie County Fire District and Fallon Fire District were called out on July 24 at about 3:30 p.m. for three separate fires near the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks between Terry and Fallon.

Over the course of the next two days all three agencies were called out to the burn areas multiple times do to reports of smoke and flames.  The flares were attributed to higher than normal winds and dry conditions.
