Hospital administrator to begin work June 29


Just on the heels of revealing a new Prairie Community Hospital administrator last month, Glendive Medical Center and PCH announced last week that another applicant has been selected. 

“We had some very strong candidates for this position,” GMC CEO Scott Duke said, noting four of 12 applicants took part in on-site interviews.
Due to health concerns Michael Blauer, who was scheduled to begin work at PCH on Monday, declined to take the position. 
Parker Powell has been named the new PCH administrator and is scheduled to being on June 29.
Powell, originally from Miles City, is currently working as an Administrative Intern for St. John’s Lutheran Ministries in Billings, Montana and just recently passed the Montana Board of Nursing Home Administrators Licenses exam.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration/Marketing from Montana State University-Billings in 2008.  Additionally, Powell served as an intern for Employee Benefit Management Services, Inc. where among other initiatives; he developed a Balanced Scorecard in compliance with the strategic plan initiative for the management team and employees.
Powell replaces Reed Reyman, who became the CEO and President of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson, North Dakota in April.
