Union reps attend meeting

        William Lingerfelt and Alan Ekblad, representatives of the International Union of Operating Engineers attended the Wednesday evening Buffalo Rapids meeting. At the conclusion of the meeting, they noted  a strong majority of BR employees want representation.

“Employees are scared,” district 2 board member Barry Rakes said during the monthly meeting. He pointed to talks of changing insurance benefits and longstanding employee benefits have many within BR concerned about their protection from the BR Board of Control’s decision-making policies.
