Terry Clayton Bockness, 68

   Terry Clayton Bockness, age 68, of Miles City passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at  Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City.

Terry was born on July 1, 1941, the oldest of eight boys in Parshall, North Dakota to Oscar and Alice (Vedvig) Bockness.  He had most of his education in the Tioga and Williston, North Dakota area.  He moved to Miles City, Montana in 1960 with his family which included seven brothers.  He worked for Cutting Sheet Metal and Roofing in 1961 and worked there until heart conditions caused his disability.  Terry was a gifted artist and sculptor.  He was also an accomplished guitar player.  He pursued these talents until his death.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, mother, a brother Duane Bockness and a grandson Levi Bockness.  He is survived by three daughters:  Sandy Bockness of Billings, MT; Kris Hammond-Jesse (Ricky) of Manassas, VA; and Tracy Holman (Cody) of Terry, MT and his granddaughter Kayla Holman.  He is also survived by six brothers:  Dale (Vaughn) Bockness of Bozeman, MT; Don (Kathy) Bockness of Miles City, MT; Greg Bockness and Gary Bockness both of Valley City, ND; Scott Bockness of Billings, MT; and Jeff Bockness of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
