The First Annual Terry Mini-Relay For Life Event is just around the corner. Register your team today by contacting Leann Lantis at 635-5814. This “celebration of life” brings the entire community together in a unified effort to fight cancer.

Former and current cancer patients, those who have lost a loved one to cancer, families, businesses, civic organizations, and the public are all invited to take part in this exciting team event. The Terry Mini-Relay For Life takes place from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m.  on Friday, June 25th at Murn Park.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a family-oriented event where participants enjoy the camaraderie of a team and also raise funds to help eliminate cancer. Participants camp out at the Relay site, and when they are not taking their turn walking, they take part in fun activities and enjoy local entertainment. The event helps communities celebrate those who have faced cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease.
Participants must turn in a completed team registration form by May 28 to Leann Lantis, along with t-shirt sizes if your team is interested in getting an event shirt. The cost of the shirt will be $5 and the money will be collected at the event during registration.
Cancer survivors will kick-off the event by walking the first lap of the Relay For Life to honor their achievement in beating this disease.  Participating cancer survivors will receive a free t-shirt, but they will need to contact Jackie Schumacher, 635-5104, or Shari Robertson 853-2087 to sign up by May 28th in order to have their shirt on the day of the event.
We are currently accepting donations, such as hamburger or cash for buns and chips for a barbecue which will be held during the event.  Anyone wishing to contribute can do so by calling Vicki Lindvig, at her daycare 635-4555.
