Stickel earns offensive MVP at All-Star game

  Tanner Stickel demonstrated his offensive finesse during the 14th annual 6-Man All-Star football game in Highwood. Completing a 21-yard pass in the fourth quarter – one of seven passes for a total of 187 yards – Stickel not only contributed to the Red team win over the Blue team, he received the Offensive MVP award.

The red team, consisting of Stickel and 17 other senior standouts from around the state, exploded in the second half to cruise to a 62-34 win.
Tanner got into the action early by catching a 64 yard touchdown pass on the second play of the game.  After trading touchdowns throughout the first half, the Blue team led 26-23 at the half.  
The Red team came alive in the second half, throwing long to Stickel or short screen passes to Brant Lee of Roy/Winnifred, keeping the Blue defense off balance.
About 2,000 fans gathered to watch the June 5 game. 
Stickel was the only player from Terry selected to compete at the 6-Man All-Star football game. He is the son of Gordie and Kim Stickel of Fallon.
