Terry gridders dominate Winifred/Roy team at home


  Terry hosted the Winifred/Roy Outlaws in a non-conference tilt on Saturday coming away with an 81-33 victory. 

The Terriers dominated the game scoring almost at will, nine first half possessions ended in nine touchdowns. Terry jumped out to an 18-0 lead with Weston Luedtke scoring from 3 yards out, DJ Hubbert scored on a pass play from Jerett Freiboth and a 2 yard run. W/R’s Porter Sturm then returned the kickoff 75 yards for their first score of the game. Terrier recovered an onside kick attempt and on the first play, Freiboth hit Trevor Pisk, who then pitched the ball to Luedtke who then scored. W/R then scored on a 38-yard run by Justin Harrell. Terry led 24-14 at the end of the first quarter. 
Luedtke then scored from 5 yards out to start the second quarter (Freiboth kick). After an Outlaw punt, Terry scored on their second play, Freiboth again finding Hubbert for the 16-yard score (Freiboth kick). W/R then scored on a broken play to bring the score to 40-20. Terry then drove 50 yards on 8 plays ending with Luedtke scoring from 6 yards out (Freiboth kick). 
W/R drove 50 yards in 4 plays scoring on a 20 yard pass from Harrell to Sturm. Hubbert then scored from 1 yard out on the next Terrier drive. Terry then recovered the ensuing kick and scored from 13 yards out on a Freiboth to Luedtke pass to take a 60-26 lead to the locker room. 
Winifred/Roy scored on the first possession of the second half on 3 plays all runs by Sturm to get within 27 points of the Terriers. 
Freiboth’s pass was then intercepted by the Outlaws giving them great field position, but they fumbled the ball on the very next play. Talon Mack recovered the ball. 
Luedtke then rushed for 50 yards on 3 plays setting up a first and goal. Trevor Pisk was then intercepted by Sturm, but four plays later Sergey Fredrickson picked off a Sturm pass and ran it back 35 yards for the score (Freiboth kick). On Terry’s next possession, Pisk took the first play 60 yards for the score. Terry’s defense then forced an Outlaw punt, but after a bad snap the punter had his knee down giving the ball back to the Terrier’s on the 5 yard line. Tyler Forcella scored from 5 yards out and Layne Lantis added the extra point giving Terry an 81-33 lead half way through the fourth quarter.  Luedtke had 247 yards on the ground and Jerett Freiboth had 251 yards on 11 of 16 passing. The defense was led by Trevor Pisk with 11 tackles, followed by Freiboth with 6 and Luedtke, Hubbert, and Mack with 5 each. 
The Terry junior varsity will play Frazer in Circle at 4 p.m. on Thursday and will host the Jordan JV on Monday at 4:30 in Terry. The varsity will travel to Rosebud for a 1 p.m. game on Saturday.
