John C. Reilly, 95

  John C. Reilly, age 95, of Dickinson, formerly of Medora, North Dakota, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Evergreen Living Center in Dickinson.  A memorial service will be held later in May.   John was born September 15, 1915 to John and Katherine (Wagendorf) Reilly in Medora.  He graduated from Medora High School with the class of 1933, and in 1934 he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps for twenty months. Later he returned to the family ranch where he helped his folks look after the cattle, and he also delivered mail to the rural routes on horseback.  John continued to work on the ranch until he retired in 1976.

In October of 2003 John moved to Dickinson to live at the Evergreen Living Center. John enjoyed visiting with his family and many friends, and playing and teaching cribbage.  He also delighted in watching rodeos, whether it be live or on TV.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katherine Reilly; his brothers, Frank, Eddie, and Pat; and his sister, Maizie Lavelle.
He is survived by his sister, Grace Stoebe of Billings, Montana; nieces: Bobbie (Stoebe) Coffee of Canadian, Texas, Cathy (Lavelle) Dahlberg of Minong, Wisconsin, Patricia (Reilly) Pavlicek of Silverdale, Washington; nephews: Jim Reilly of Terry, Montana, Mike Reilly of Troy, Montana, Bill Reilly of Bothell, Washington, David Reilly of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Robin Stoebe of Billings, Montana, Jim Lavelle of Brier, Washington, and Pat Lavelle of Medora, North Dakota.
