Varsity girls take wins during busy game schedule

  Getting used to rescheduling due to the weather, Terry again played only one game over the weekend, traveling to Melstone to take on the Broncs Friday afternoon. With poor road conditions Saturday, the Hysham game was rescheduled for Monday night. Tuesday’s previously scheduled game against the Ekalaka Bulldogs in Terry ended the three game haul.

Friday in Melstone, the Terry Junior Varsity girls team played four on four in a “half game” which consisted of four, four minute quarters. Terry was victorious 19-9. 
Scoring for Terry was: Caitlin Lantis 8, Lexie Schlosser 5, Caty Morrison 3, and Alyssa Morast 3. Melstone’s scoring was: Suhr 2, Cooke 2, and Graham 5.
The varsity girls played a tough defensive game, holding Melstone to just 23 points. The final score was 43-23. 
Scoring for Terry was Lindsay Stickel 10, Carly Stickel 4, Kristina Fredrickson 3, Anna Fredrickson 2, Ashley Morast 2, Dani Dukart 11, Amy Browning 6, Amanda Haidle 2, and Franque Robertson 3. Scoring for Melstone was: Newman 11, Lawson 2, Hofer 4, and Seder 6.
Monday’s trip to Hysham proved to be a fun one as the Lady Terriers played their best game of the season yet, putting up a satisfying 81
points on offense and playing a nice defensive game, holding Hysham to 38 points. 
Scoring for Terry was: L. Stickel 8, C. Stickel 14, K. Fredrickson 2, A. Morast 6, Dukart 27, Browning 13, and Haidle 11. Scoring for Hysham was: Criswell 2, Watts 10, B. Hollowell 9, Widdicombe 4, A. Hollowell 3, and T. Hollowell 10.
Tuesday the Junior Varsity squad was back in action as Terry played host to the Ekalaka Bulldogs Tuesday night. Terry fell to the Bulldog JV team 18-14. Scoring for Terry was: Lantis 4, Schlosser 2, Ridenhower 3, Alyssa Morast 1, Ashley Morast 1, Robertson 2, and A. Fredrickson 1. Ekalaka’s
scoring was: Ketchum 2, Guyer 4, Dalzell 5, Fruit 4, Peabody 3.
In a physical contest where both teams spent the majority of the night at the freethrow line, in the end, the Terry Varsity girls’ team came out the victors 48-44 over the Ekalaka Bulldogs. 
Scoring for Terry was: L. Stickel 5, C. Stickel 12, Kensi Keller 5, A. Fredrickson 2, Dukart 15, Browning 2, Haidle 6, and Robertson 1. Ekalaka’s scoring was: Nies 11, J.Dalzell 3, Hansen 9, Bruski 7, Guyer 4, C.Dalzell 6, Cole 4.
Next on tap for the Terriers will be Friday night when they host the Wibaux Longhorns. As of press time, there are four games scheduled: girls JV, boys JV (1/2 game), girls and boys’ varsity. Saturday night Terry’s varsity teams will travel to Plevna to take on the Cougars. Then on Tuesday, Savage comes to Terry for jv girls, varsity girls and varsity boys games.
Remember to come support the future of the Terriers as the kindergarten through fifth graders play at half time of the games. Kindergarten, first, and second graders play during jv games while third, fourth, and fifth grade will play during varsity games.
