Herbert Otto Moos, 86

        Herbert Otto Moos, age 86, of Miles City, formerly of Brockway, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.

Herbert was born in Watkins, MT on June 3, 1924, the son of Henry and Lydia (Knopp) Moos. He grew up on the family farm in the Watkins community near Brockway, MT where he attended country school. He attended High School at Terry, MT.  On October 13, 1951 he married Elsie Guthmiller in Medina, ND. After High School, he returned to the family farm where they farmed and ranched until 1976. Shortly after retiring from farming and ranching, Herbert and Elsie moved to Miles City where they made their home. Herbert was a member of the First Lutheran Church. 
Herbert is survived by his Brothers: Albert Moos of Brockway, MT and Edwin Moos of Circle, MT; his sisters: Edna Rogerson of Terry, MT and Ella Fredrickson of Sheridan, WY and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lydia Moos, and his wife Elsie Moos. 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on June 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.  Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:  www.stevensonandsons.com <http://www.stevensonandsons.com/> .
