Kentucky church group arrives at Baptist Church

It was destination Terry, Montana for 22 Baptists from Kentucky, according to Lee Jackson, a church planter for the group. He along with Miles City Valley Drive Baptist Church Pastor Jeff Cahill outlined the week’s events taking place at the small white Baptist church building that sits on the northside of Spring Street.

The church, which has been closed since December 2009, is undergoing a name change of Badlands Bible Fellowship. A search for a pastor to head up the church is underway, according to Jackson.
With a big tent and a bounce house on its grounds, receiving the attention of adults and children alike was successful as the gathering of Tuesday evening’s Block Party could attest to.
“We want to be a part of the community and be involved,” Jackson said.
A children’s Vacation Bible School is underway this week and will culminate with a Thursday evening barbecue and worship service at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
