The 74th annual Prairie County will begin Thursday and run through Sunday. The following is a breakdown of what is taking place this weekend.
Thursday, August 4
12 p.m. Open Class entries accepted
1 p.m. 4H Open Class Horse Judging
5 p.m. 4-H food Judging
6 p.m. 4-H livestock weigh-in, stockyards
8 p.m. 4-H livestock weigh-in closes
8:30 p.m. Open class entries close for the day
Friday, August 5
7 a.m. Open Class entries accepted
7 a.m. 4-H & Open Class livestock exhibits in place
8 a.m. 4-H & Open Class livestock judging
9 a.m. All open class exhibits in place, Dept. B thru H
9:30 a.m. Open class judging Dept. B thru H
12 p.m. Heifer pen exhibits in place
1 p.m. Judging of 4-H showmanship
8 p.m. Performance by Parched Prairie Players “Here Come the Cows ... and Never Say Moo in Mesa” Admission: Adults $8, Students $6 Preschool Free
Saturday, August 6
10 a.m. Parade downtown
10:30 a.m. Exhibit buildings open
