Cameron group adopts new logo

Evelyn Cameron Heritage Inc. has adopted a new logo.

The ECH Inc. board met during a special meeting last month to look over branding options that were designed by Lou Cronin of Terry. The six-member board unanimously agreed on a logo, which depicts two of Evelyn Cameron’s most recognizable features – her camera and her hat. The logo shows Lady Cameron’s hat resting on a Graflex camera.
“The big thing is branding,” ECH Inc. board member Glenda Ueland said. “We just need that to be a recognizable part of Heritage Inc.”
The logo will be used on the Cameron group’s future publications and will eventually be painted on the front of the historic Rialto Theater, which the group is currently in the process of refurbishing.
As they prepare for their Sept. 17 gala, their annual fundraising affair, renovations continue inside the Rialto Theater, where the gala will be held for the second year in a row. Recent renovations have included removing fabric and wallpaper from the main floor walls. All of the wall fabric was saved and will be used in some form inside the building, Ueland said. A two-layer fire rated sheetrock is currently being installed inside the building’s main floor gallery ceiling. Electrical wiring and heating pipes have been removed as well.
The gala will include a catered dinner by Terry Landing Catering, and a live auction featuring the works of area artists as well as a framed and matted vintage Cameron photo. Performing for the evening will be the group formerly known as the XIT Gals, from Sidney, who now go by Cameron. The group will be donating their time to perform at the gala.
