The Prairie County Sportsman’s Association will be holding their annual sportsman show September 10 and 11 at the county fairgrounds. Organizers are expecting about 30 tables to be set up filled with exhibitors’ antique and modern rifles, pistols, swords, and knives.
The local group has been holding an annual sportsman show since 1990, generally drawing in about 160 to 200 people each year to the event.
Exhibitors statewide and from neighboring states attend the show to sell or display their weapon collections.
All state and federal regulations and safety procedures are followed at the two-day show.
This year’s show will include FBI agent Richard Coffman who will be on hand to answer questions.
The sportsman show will begin Saturday Sept. 10 at 9 a.m. and will last until 7 p.m. Sunday’s sportsman show hours are from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. Admission is $2.
