New pastor placed at Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church Pastor Jacob Hanneman and his wife Elizabeth moved to Terry in mid-August after receiving a call to serve here.

Jacob will be serving as pastor for Trinity Lutheran Church in Terry and Salem Lutheran Church in Circle. Twice a month he will also travel to Wolf Point to serve as pastor at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
The couple moved from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada where Jacob had co-pastored for a year. They met in 2004 while attending Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn., and married in June, 2007. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from MLC, Jacob attended the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary where he received a Masters of Divinity. Elizabeth received a teaching degree from MLC with an emphasis in math. She is certified to teach kindergarten through sixth grade classes.
Jacob, raised in Minnesota, and Elizabeth, raised in Louisiana, say they are enjoying becoming familiar with the area and the people here.
“Everyone has been really kind and treating us like family,” Jacob said.
The couple come to Terry with their two-year old dog named Stella, a lab/whippet mix.
