Although Friday evening’s thunderstorm may have dampened conditions for Prairie County Relay for Life teams, it did little to dampen their fundraising efforts. Including the $3,600 raised at the Bras for a Cause event held in Terry earlier this spring, a total of just over $14,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society.
A Terry High School English class raised $500 for the Pennies for Peace program.

No one has yet to file a declaration for nomination for either of the two open Terry Town Council seats. The deadline to file is June 30 by 5 p.m.
Anticipation and excitement is higher than ever as aspiring country music artists prepare fro the 30th Annual Texaco Country Showdown at the Omni Center in Miles City on July 15.
Everyone is invited to attend Terry’s second annual Relay for Life Friday, June 24 at Murn Park. A 5 p.m. community barbecue will kick off the 12-hour event that benefits the American Cancer Society.
Prior to Memorial Day this year a funding request of $10,000 was submitted by the Prairie County Chamber of Commerce to the TransCanada Community Investment Program for much needed improvements to the Terry Municipal Pool.
