Absentee ballots returning as Election Day nears
Of the 292 absentee ballots mailed out this election season, 205 have been returned, according to Prairie County Election Administrator Toni Kalfell. Thirty-three percent of the county’s 873 registered voters have signed up to receive absentee ballots.
‘Afternoon Tea’ will offer viewing of Gallery improvements
The Prairie County Museum and Evelyn Cameron Gallery have announced plans to hold another Afternoon Tea at the Gallery this fall. Last year’s event was so well received that another tea will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Cameron Gallery.

Evelyn Cameron group awarded tourism grant
Evelyn Cameron Heritage Inc. of Terry was one of 12 groups within the state to receive grant money from the Montana Department of Commerce. The announcement of recipients for the 2012 Tourism Infrastructure Investment Program (TIIP) came earlier this week.
