Terry will host 5th grade basketball tourney

 Four teams will be taking part in a girls’ basketball tournament in Terry Sunday, April 17. The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to end about 3 p.m. 

Admission into the Terry High School Ray Frank gym is $2. The Terry High School Close-Up will be running the concession stand, with proceeds benefiting the school’s music department.

Lady Terriers finish season 4th at Southern C Divisional

The Lady Terriers experienced their only losses of the season this past weekend - ending an exciting series of games for the Terry girls at the Southern C Divisional tournament in Billings. 

Placing fourth at the Southern C and finishing with a final 23-2 season record, head coach Sharilyn Kortum said she was anything but disappointed with the team’s performance.

A year after being the No. 1 seed, but finishing fourth, the Lady Terriers took the Girls’ District 4C Tournament with an impressive 56-44 win over Wibaux on Saturday night at the Custer County District High School gym.

With the District 4-C tournament right around the corner, Feb. 16-19 in Miles City, the Lady Terriers are gearing up for tourney action, as they continue winning games in regular season. 
Games this past week were played on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Terry boys split games, win against Ekalaka, fall to Eagles

  Terry hosted the Northern Cheyenne Eagles Thursday night. Eagles came up with the win 84-62. 

"The guys played really well,” said head coach Nathan Christofferson in an email to the Tribune. “(They) just made some turnovers that seemed to put us down and we weren't able to recover."

With cooperating weather, the Lady Terriers were able to compete in two basketball games this weekend - Friday night against the Wibaux Longhorns and Saturday against the Plevna Cougars.

Terry boys defeat top ranked Wibaux Longhorns

Terry hosted the Wibaux Longhorns Friday night, coming away with a win after an 8-year slump of losing to the Longhorn team. 
"We were very confident going into this game even though the Longhorns are ranked the number one team in the conference," head coach Nathan Christofferson stated.
