Twenty-two teams compete in weekend coyote calling contest

  Frigid temperatures left 22 teams collecting only 13 coyotes during the 11th annual Prairie County Sportsman Association’s coyote calling contest. The contest took place Jan 7-9.

Girls basketball win games, youth halftime set to begin

  Due to the dangerous winter weather encountered on Saturday, Friday’s game in Jordan was the only competition the girls’ basketball squads played over the weekend. The junior varsity and varsity teams played the Mustangs in Jordan. 

Saturday's game that was to be played in Ekalaka has been rescheduled to be played on Tuesday, February 18 in Ekalaka.

Boys lose to Busby, win two at home

  Terry boys basketball traveled to Busby Friday to take on the Eagles for Terry's first game. The final score was Terry 43 Northern Cheyenne 87.

“I told the boys, lets just go out and play basketball and work on fundamentals and see where we are at,” head coach Nathan Christofferson said in a written statement.

Girls jump head on into season

  After practicing since November 22, the Lady Terriers’ varsity and junior varsity teams got plenty of game action as between the two teams, they played five games in five days. It was nice to finally compete against a team other than their own.

  Three Terry High School football players were named to the 6-man Eastern All-Conference team. They are senior quarterback Jerett Freiboth, and junior players Weston Luedtke and Trevor Pisk.

With fall sports wrapped up for the year, athletes switched modes in order to begin preparation for the 2010-2011 basketball season. Athletes commenced at the gym for their first day of basketball practice on Monday, November 22, 2010.

Lady Terriers capture Class C state title

  1989 turned out to be a pretty good year for Terry High School volleyball. That year, the Lady Terriers won the state C volleyball crown, and current head coach Jasmine Freiboth was born.

Terry season ends with 64-21 quarterfinal loss at Denton

  The Terry Terrier football season ended Saturday with a 64-21 loss to the Denton Trojans in quarterfinal action, ending their best season in 11 years. 

Denton got on the board first with a 49 yard run by Joel DeVries. Terry answered back on a 21 yard pass play from Weston Luedtke to Layne Lantis; Jerett Freiboth’s kick gave Terry the 8-6 lead.

First place finish at Eastern Division propels Terriers to State

  The Lady Terriers are heading to State. Finishing in first place, after taking down four teams at the Eastern Division tournament in Sidney, Nov. 4-6, the Terry team will be competing at the All Class State volleyball tournament in Bozeman Nov. 11-13.

Terry’s Eastern Division conquests included the undefeated Fairview Warriors, Circle Wildcats, Savage Warriors and Richey Lambert Fusion.
