Lady Terriers open season

The Lady Terriers traveled to St. Labre on Saturday, August 29, where they opened up their 2009 season. Joining the Terriers in the eight team tournament, along with the host Braves, were the Wibaux Longhorns, Rosebud Wranglers, Ekalaka Lady Blue, Circle Wildcats, Jordan Mustangs, and Hysham Lady Pirates.

With four years of trapshooting competition experience under his belt, fifteen-year-old D.J. Hubbert is not a novice when it comes to contending for statewide trapshooting titles. Hubbert made that fact abundantly clear during the 2009 Montana State Trapshooting Championship held in Billings, July 8 - 12, placing in nine out of 13 events.

Members of the newly formed Prairie County Motorcycle Association met last week to finalize plans for their 2009 Arenacross event, which will be held at the fairgrounds Sunday, July 26.

On June 11-13 several local AAU Wrestlers traveled to Brookings, S.D., to participate in the AAU Wrestling Grand Nationals Championship Tournament, one of the nation’s oldest wrestling tournaments.
