Terry basketball camp offered in July

         The Terry Close-Up organization will be conducting a basketball camp for grades 3-12 July 6-10.  The camp will run from 8:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m for grades   9-12 and from 1:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m. for grades 3-8.  Camp fee will be $75 and will include a basketball and a T-shirt.  Proceeds will be used toward a trip to   Washington D.C next April for Close-ups junior and senior members.

Poucher finishes as state champion

The weather was perfect for the Terriers’ final meet of the season held in Butte last weekend. Four athletes made the trip to the Class “C” State track meet along with their coaches, parents, and other loyal supporters.

Girls softball team begins

  A Terry girls A league softball team has been organized by seventeen-year-old Lana Hoagland. The team, consisting of 11 girls between the ages of 13 and 18, met for their first practice Tuesday evening.

“I am still trying to recruit people,” Hoagland said, noting 12-year-old girls can play on the team as long as they have two previous years of experience in baseball or softball.

Four Terry tracksters head to state

  The Terry track team traveled to Billings Sky View High School for the Southern C Divisional on Thursday, with four members coming home with top five placings, earning them a trip to the state competition in Butte.

Boys and girls capture first place trophies at district 4C

  Terry boys and girls pulled away with first place wins at the district 4C track meet in Miles City on Thursday.

Athletes receive sports awards

  Wednesday, May 6, in the Ray Frank Gymnasium, Terry athletes were rewarded for their hard work and dedication to their particular sports.

Handing out awards were head coaches Jasmine Freiboth (volleyball), Greg Poucher (football), Sharilyn Kortum (girls’ basketball) and Casey Klasna (boys’ basketball and outstanding athlete).

Terry makes trek to Wolf Point track meet

Friday evening, eight Terry track athletes competed in a meet held in Wolf Point. The junior and senior class was unable to attend due to the Junior/Senior Class Play, but Terry’s sophomore and freshmen classes represented the Terriers well.
Three athletes were able to bring home one or more ribbons in their respective events.

Hershey track meet set

       Glendive will be hosting a Hershey's Track Meet on Saturday, May 16th at Perham Field at the Dawson County High School. Children aged 9 – 14 are encouraged to sign up.  
Events will begin at 10:00 am. Entry forms can be picked up at the Recreation Department. Registration forms have been mailed to rural schools. Forms must be returned by Thursday May 14.
