Former Terrier coach will head Lady Red Devils volleyball team

        When volleyball practice begins later this month at Dawson County High School the Lady Red Devils will be under the direction of a new coach. Taking over the head coaching duties is Terry native Jasmine (Freiboth) Smart.

Reflecting on the highs and lows of Terry High’s athletics

  A century of Terry High’s athletic teams experienced it all, from early rockbottom futility to the “Purple Reign” glory years. 

There was no place to go but up after THS suffered a 105-2 loss to Great Falls in 1914, just two years into the school’s existence.

Local athletes compete at Big Sky State Games

Local youth and adults took part in the weekend Big Sky State Games in Billings. 
Brock Smith, son of Tom Smith, was among those representing Terry. Brock received gold medals in discus, shot put and the 200 meter race, and received a bronze in the 100 meter race.
Other Terry runners competing included: Janet Fredrickson, Layne Lantis, Caitlin Lantis and Laiten Lantis.

Youth basketball camp will focus on fundamentals

  There’s still time to register for the Terrier Basketball Camp for players entering kindergarten through eighth grade.

The two-day camp will be held Thursday and Friday, June 21 and 22 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Terry High School gymnasium. Boys and girls are welcome. Registration fee is $20.

Mack and Pisk play for winning Red team at All-Star game

  Terry graduates Talon Mack and Trevor Pisk played in the 16th annual Six–Man All-Star game in Highwood, Mont., Sat. June 2. 

They reported to Highwood on Tuesday May 29 for several days of practice, but mostly good times and building lasting friendships.

Boys track team takes 5th at state meet in Butte

The Terry boys track team tied for 5th place with Twin Bridges at the State C track meet held at Charlie Merrifield Track in Butte this past weekend. 
The Darby and Charlo boys tied for first while North Star girls took home the State C Championship. 
The following stats list the events the Terry’s track and field teams placed in and overall team scores.
