DON VOWEL—husband, father, and grandfather—died on Friday, February 6, 2015, in Billings, MT due to a long illness. He was 72.
Don was born in Roswell, NM on June 13, 1942, to Buzz and Clara Vowel. He married Barbara Lapp in May 1986.
Don started working in the auto body business then moved on to insurance adjusting. He then moved back to Terry where he helped out his father in the Yellowstone Bar and Café.
Elmer Robert Scheid, age 88 of Terry, passed away on February 17, 2015 at the Prairie County Hospital in Terry, MT.
Viola Darlene Irion, 98, passed away on January 29, 2015 at Prairie Community Nursing Home in Terry, Montana.
John Harold Latimer was born Dec.26, 1929 to Verne and Grace Latimer in Portland, OR and was the baby in the fam-ily of four. He attended Ben-son Technical High School and joined the US Air Force in 1948 on a 3 year enlist-ment. The Korean War broke out and the enlistment be-came 4 years. He went to automo-tive equipment school in Wyoming after basic train-ing in San Antonio, TX and was then shipped to Green-land for 15 months. He then went to Great Falls Air Base and then to Mt. Home in Ida-ho where he became great friends with Trent Turnbull who was also stationed there.
George Adam Coon, Jr. passed away surrounded by family on September 9th, 2014. George, the only son of George M. and Dorothy (McBride) Coon, was born on June 28, 1946, in Rosebud, Mon-tana. He grew up on the family ranch where they raised cattle and hay. After attending Rosebud High School, he joined the U.S. Army in 1964, where he was trained as a tank operator and sharpshooter. He was stationed in Germany until 1967.
