Waiting is difficult for all of us, I think. I have never met a person yet who says, “I love to wait.” Or “Oh, boy! We have time to kill!” No. We live in a time and place that puts a high premium on instant gratification. People will pay good money for faster service. They want their packages delivered the same day they order them. There is a whole segment of business dedicated to fast food. When I was in High School computers took up a whole room and you had to wait minutes for your logon to grant access. Now we complain if a web page takes more than a couple of seconds to load. People today have an attention span about as long as a gnats’ eyelash.
