Brenda Bernice Dolatta (Welker), age 70, died in her sleep at her home in Fallon, Montana on the morning of November 18, 2020. Her death was caused by lung cancer, which she battled for five years.

Brenda was born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 30, 1950 at 3:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was the oldest of five children, born to Norma Rose (Thomas) Cova and James R. Welker.

Throughout her life, Brenda spent most of her time with family, playing bingo, solving word searches, and cuddling her two dogs: Rosie, a chihuahua, and Annie, a chihuahua mix.

She attended school in Phoenix and married her husband of 28 years in El Paso, Texas, August 14, 1992. At a younger age, Brenda enjoyed traveling, but in her most recent years, she preferred her life at home.

Brenda was proceeded in death by her parents, Bobby Welker (a brother), Priscilla Donaldson (a sister), her son, Becky Dolatta (a stepdaughter) and a granddaughter.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Mark R. Dolatta, her sisters, Winona (Dale) Thacker and Bonnie (Doyle) Walters, her children, Shannon and Jim Aronhart, Stephanie Stanley, Dora Bays, and Fran and Austin Carney, and seven grandchildren.

The deceased wished to be cremated, so there will only be a small family service and no burial service. There was a meet and greet on Sunday, 11/29/2020 at The American Legion in Terry.

Brenda’s family wishes to send special thanks to Raymond Dolatta for all his help and support, the entire Fallon Community, the Holy Rosary Health Center, and the Prairie Community Hospital.
