Health department urges residents to avoid travel

COVID-19 cases continue to rise here in Montana, with the number at 34, currently, and this number changes daily. There are no positive cases here in Prairie County at this time, However, the Prairie County Health Department urges people of Prairie County to try to avoid travel to Billings or any other high impact site at this time.

Most of the cases continue to crop up in the more populated counties in Western Montana, and other states. If you have a doctor appointment scheduled in Billings or another high impact area, the Prairie County Clinic can help you arrange it over telemedicine!

Please continue the 5 ways to prevent the spread of Coronavirus:

1. Stay home if you are sick

2. Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, if that’s not available, use hand sanitizer

3. Cover your cough with the bend of your elbow, or a tissue, then throw the tissue away and wash your hands

4. Don’t touch your face

5. Keep a distance of 6 feet from other people, and avoid crowds
